The theme of this year's fair, "Deepening Reform to Foster Integration and Revitalize Rural Communities on Both Sides of the Strait," was guided by the China General Chamber of Commerce and the China Hotel Association. It was co-organized by the Fujian Rural Revitalization Promotion Association, Fujian Agricultural Product Market Association, Quanzhou Import and Export Chamber of Commerce, and Nan'an Cross-Strait Exchange Association. The fair aims to serve as a platform for showcasing agricultural products, fostering cross-Strait agricultural exchanges and cooperation, and advancing both agricultural modernization and rural revitalization.

At the opening ceremony, producers, buyers, and distinguished guests from both sides of the Taiwan Strait gathered to mark the beginning of this important event. The fair covers 26,000 square meters and features 716 exhibition booths, with 15 specialized zones, including the central exhibition area, Taiwan Agricultural and Fishery Products Promotion Zone, and sections dedicated to countries along the "Belt and Road," as well as Hong Kong and Macao.
Over the course of three days, the fair presented a diverse array of high-quality agricultural products from both mainland China and Taiwan, attracting international agricultural producers from countries such as Australia, Russia, Belarus, Mali, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, and Indonesia, thereby enriching the event with a global perspective.
Guest County Kinmen Enterprises Promoting Local Specialties
A standout feature of this year's fair was the introduction of the "Guest of Honour" concept. Yunnan's Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture was invited as the guest of honour province, while Lianle County and Kinmen County were designated as guest of honour counties. These regions highlighted their distinctive agricultural products, further enhancing regional cooperation and raising brand awareness. Throughout the event, the guest of honour regions hosted special "theme days," featuring agricultural promotions and business discussions.

In addition to showcasing agricultural products, the fair also introduced an Agricultural Technology Zone, focusing on cutting-edge technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT), big data, and artificial intelligence. This area highlighted innovations in agricultural science, equipment, and seed development. Furthermore, the "2024 Cross-Strait Modern Agricultural New Productivity Development and Quanzhou Agricultural Investment Promotion Signing Ceremony" attracted experts, academicians, and business representatives from both sides of the Taiwan Strait, who discussed how emerging productivity trends can drive agricultural modernization and support rural revitalization.

Over the years, the fair has transformed from a straightforward agricultural trade platform into a vital venue for agricultural technology exchanges between the two sides of the Taiwan Strait. As a leading agricultural city, Nan'an showcased its successes in rural development and community-building, attracting visitors from both sides of the Strait to experience the region's unique charm, known as the "Maritime Heritage City" and the "Home of Koxinga."
The opening ceremony also featured a vibrant array of ethnic performances, including Quanzhou's "Cendou Gaojia Opera," the "Electric Music Three Princes," and the She Ethnic Bamboo Pole Dance, creating an engaging and festive atmosphere where attendees could experience the hope and vitality that agriculture brings.
